Most Qatar orders fall into two groups. Doha, Lusail and Al Wakrah are now dominated by facilities management, hospitality, fit-out and ongoing construction. Ras Laffan, Mesaieed and Dukhan are process industry: LNG, petrochemicals, fertiliser, steel and oil production. The PPE lists for the two look very different.
Kit lists by role
Rather than a catalogue, here is what we would put in a starter kit for common Qatar roles. Adjust the quantities to your headcount and size split.

Doha, Lusail and Al Wakrah
Facilities management companies want uniforms that look the same across hundreds of staff and survive industrial washing. The BSW Premier Work Suit BSW 1001 is 240 GSM cotton, mercerized and sanforized, suitable for industrial wash, in Petrol Blue from S to 6XL. Other weights and colours are in work suits, and any of them can carry your logo.
Kitchens in hotels and labour camps need slip resistant, easy to clean shoes. The BSW 0515 kitchen safety shoe has a microfiber upper, composite toe cap and Kevlar midsole, rated S1P under EN ISO 20345:2022. The rest of the range, from light S1P trainers to S3 steel toe boots, is under safety shoes.
Ras Laffan and Mesaieed
Ras Laffan is Qatar's LNG and gas processing hub in the north. Mesaieed, south of Doha, hosts petrochemicals, fertiliser, steel and aluminium. Both run on written PPE specifications, and both bring in large contract workforces for turnarounds.
For areas where gas may be present, ask for FR clothing that is also antistatic. Two of our coveralls list EN 1149-5 alongside EN ISO 11612: the Tintrex BTC 4050 (98% FR cotton, 2% antistatic, 240 GSM, also listed to NFPA 2112 and IEC 61482-2) and the BSW Firewing BSW 0360 (inherent FR modacrylic blend, 180 GSM). We do not claim operator approval for any product; we match the standard your contract names and send the datasheet so your HSE team can check it.
For chemical handling at fertiliser plants, the TopSafe TNG 6004 fully nitrile coated glove is made for oil, acid and alkali environments and is rated EN 388 3111X. Check the chemical data with your HSE team, as EN 388 covers mechanical risks only. More options are in safety gloves.
Dukhan and remote sites
Dukhan, on the west coast, is an onshore oil field a long drive from Doha. Remote crews should get complete kits before they leave, with spares. Heat is the main problem from May to September, so mesh safety vests and cotton rather than polyester clothing make a difference. Our heat illness guide applies to Qatar sites as much as UAE ones.
Height work and shutdowns
Turnaround season means scaffolding and vessel entry. Our fall protection range includes EN 361 harnesses, the BRFA 0800 retractable fall arrester with 10 m galvanised wire rope (EN 360), the BTP 0900 rescue tripod (EN 795, height adjustable from 1.5 m to 2.5 m) and the BRW 0910 rescue winch (EN 1496, 140 kg rated load).
Shipping and paperwork
Goods reach Qatar by sea from Jebel Ali to Hamad Port, by road freight through Saudi Arabia via the Abu Samra crossing, or by air for urgent small orders. Lead time depends on the route and clearance, so we confirm it on the quotation. We can share the commercial invoice, packing list, datasheets and test reports your clearing agent needs.
