Planning PPE for a Kuwait shutdown
A lot of Kuwait's PPE demand comes in waves. When a refinery or petrochemical unit at Mina Al Ahmadi, Mina Abdullah or the Shuaiba industrial area goes into a planned shutdown, contractors bring in a large temporary workforce for a few weeks, and every one of them needs a full kit on day one. Late PPE holds up permits to work, so the order needs to be placed early and packed by size.

Two practical points. First, get the size split from the contractor before ordering; a shutdown crew rarely matches a standard size curve, and the larger sizes are the ones most often under-ordered. Ahmadi, Shuaiba and Mina Abdullah
The south of the country is oil country. Ahmadi is the base of the upstream oil sector, and the coastal strip from Mina Al Ahmadi to Shuaiba and Mina Abdullah holds the refineries, petrochemical plants and their fabrication and maintenance contractors. Shuwaikh and Kuwait City
Shuwaikh's industrial area and port are workshops, car service centres, trading houses and warehouses. Typical orders are cotton work suits and coveralls, S1P shoes and safety helmets for contractors' stores. Gloves go fastest: workshops handling oily parts use the TopSafe TNG 6004 fully nitrile coated glove (EN 388, 3111X), while general handling crews prefer the lighter BSW 1458 sandy nitrile palm glove (EN 388, 4121X). Both are in safety gloves. Fahaheel and the other southern towns order much the same mix for the contractors working on the nearby plants. In Kuwait City itself, the buyers are construction contractors and facilities companies, who want uniforms in company colours with a logo.
Jahra and road projects
Jahra and the north see housing, infrastructure and road work, which brings traffic safety into the order: 1 m road traffic cones, 90 cm traffic drums (BTD 1610, PE body with rubber base, 7.5 kg), BFB 1809 folding barricades that open to 250 cm, and BBFL 2101 solar barricade lights with a 7-inch lens. Kuwait winters are real
Kuwait has some of the hottest summers in the Gulf and properly cold winter nights. Night shifts from December to February need a warm layer that does not cancel out the FR coverall underneath. The Border FR Winter Jacket BWJ 3505 has an FR cotton outer with 150 GSM polyester wadding and a detachable hood, and lists EN ISO 11611, EN ISO 11612, EN 13688 and EN ISO 20471. Other jackets and vests are under safety vests and winter jackets. In summer, switch to mesh vests and lighter cotton.
Getting goods to Kuwait
Orders travel from the UAE by road freight through Saudi Arabia, entering Kuwait at Nuwaiseeb, or by sea from Jebel Ali to Shuwaikh or Shuaiba port. Urgent small orders can go by air.
